Overview

World Travel Holdings is seeking a Marketing Specialist for its Ft Lauderdale office.  This will be a hybrid role reporting to the office two (2) times a week.

This role is responsible for leading the email marketing campaigns and promotions that create vacation inspiration for vacation-seekers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly organized, and passionate about best-in-class approaches for marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Email marketing: Coordinate the development of marketing email campaigns to include strategy, crafting aspirational copy, and working with the creative team to design email templates to launch campaigns that drive sales and engagement ultimately.
  • Content creation: Craft compelling copy for emails, landing pages, and social media.
  • Optimization: Review, analyze, and strategize to improve email performance and provide recommendations for further optimization.
  • Promotions: Coordinate promotions theme, copy, and execution. Ensure promotions are accurately included in marketing campaigns.
  • Support our network of travel agents by presenting in-person and virtual training and answering marketing-related questions.
  • Provide support to the marketing department and assist with the daily functions of marketing programs and tools

Qualifications

  • A degree in marketing or communications is required.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a marketing position 
  • Self-starter who can work independently with little supervision or direction. 
  • Experience working with a virtual staff or experience with video conferencing tools is a plus.
  • Experience utilizing an email marketing platform (i.e., Salesforce, Constant Contact) 
  • Must have strong attention to detail and possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including meticulous proof-reading and fact-checking skills
  • Must be conscientious, detail-oriented, and have strong organizational skills. 
  • Knowledge of the cruise or travel industry is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
