Reservation Accounting Clerk

The Reservation Accounting Clerk is responsible for ensuring all financial transactions including credit card payments, refund checks, and commission recalls between Dream Vacations, CruiseOne, CruisesOnly (including all partner brands) and partner cruise lines are completed and audited for accuracy using our proprietary booking system.

(Candidate must live within driving distance to our Fort Lauderdale, Florida office). Will travel to our Fort Lauderdale office a couple times a week. This is a hybrid role.

• Identify and process customer payments (check, money order, cash receipts)
• Manage all customer batch files ensuring all balances are posted by end of day.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and process customer refunds.
• Maintain collection files (collecting credit card payments from customers, chargeback, NSF checks and posting credit card refunds)
• Accurately process commission recalls being sent back to the vendors and complete all disbursements on a daily basis
• Keep financial reports (aging report) current showing only outstanding balances for cruise bookings within 30-60 days post departure
• Apply and reconcile vendor commissions & other receivables keeping balances within 30-60 days
• Ensure all bookings are properly cancelled and penalties are applied correctly
• Input precise notes of actions taken on each booking
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure department runs smoothly
• Fulfillment of Promotions

• High School diploma plus 1-2 years of experience
• Bilingual (English, Spanish speaking), Preferred, but not required. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Proficient with Google Docs
• Believe in the power of teamwork and work well with others.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills is a must.
• Deliver fantastic customer service to internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of the Travel Industry is ideal for the position but not fully required for hiring.
