Responsibilities

  • Requirements Analysis: Lead the documentation and verification of business and system requirements, ensuring they meet company and client needs. 
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and refine business processes to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience. 
  • Project Oversight: Manage multiple projects, working closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations, IT) to ensure alignment and on-time delivery. 
  • API Documentation & Troubleshooting: Create and interpret API documentation, troubleshoot system issues using tools like POSTMAN, Kibana, and Splunk, and analyze logs to resolve issues. 
  • Mentorship: Guide junior analysts and support Product Owners in creating comprehensive, actionable requirements. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for system enhancement, document existing processes, and lead improvements in documentation standards. 

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a business analyst, preferably in travel, tourism, or cruise industries, with direct experience in reservation systems, inventory systems, or API integrations. 
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SQL, JSON, XML, and an understanding of SDLC and Object-Oriented Programming. Ability to read and interpret REST/SOAP API documentation, troubleshoot using POSTMAN or similar tools, and analyze logs. 
  • Analytical Skills: Skilled in data analysis and business process evaluation, with the ability to recognize patterns and translate business requests into effective technical solutions. 
  • Software Development Acumen: Exposure to software development processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams. 
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative, learning-focused environment. 
  • Adaptability: Comfort in a dynamic, Agile environment with the initiative to proactively contribute to team objectives. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field; an advanced degree (MBA or MS) is a plus.
