World Travel Holdings is seeking an Events Support Specialist for the B2B division--- Dream Vacations and CruiseOne located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The Events Support Specialist is a critical administrative role responsible for the execution of training initiatives and events in support of our franchisees.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with event planning to include agenda, schedule, sponsorships, securing space, F&B, rooming lists, transportation, and all travel relative to training classes and corporate events
  • Provide onsite support and coordinate ship inspections, Seminars at Sea, FAMS, and other special events 
  • Assist with training class administration including but not limited to account creations, training assignments, surveys, LMS management, and email communication
  • Print and prepare name badges, tent cards, handouts and giveaways needed for training classes and corporate events
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of any in-office event catering and/or decorating
  • Schedule and host quarterly webinars with travel industry partners
  • Utilize a 3rd party tool software to brand and manage all components leading up to each event
  • Partner with internal departments and event sponsors to gather assets or promotional materials needed for events
  • Post and maintain events communication on our intranet
  • Survey all participants after each event to determine ways to enhance the future experience
  • Develop and implement best practices for event planning to improve organizational efficiency
  • Participate in or lead special projects as directed by management
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, communications, or related field with 1+ years of work experience planning events
  • Available to work full-time, Monday-Friday and at least 1 Saturday per month
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25% and provide onsite support at events
  • Excellent and proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be analytical and detail oriented
  • Extremely well-organized and able to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Prior experience with event planning software and learning management systems a plus
  • Experience and knowledge of the Cruise/Travel Industry preferred, but not required
