World Travel Holdings is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for its B2B division- Dream Vacations and CruiseOne. The QA Automation Engineer will contribute to our current functional testing team in creating and maintaining cohesive automation scripts and testing to improve efficiency and deliver high quality software for our internal enterprise application.

  • Review and analyze user stories
  • Provide work estimates for testing user stories
  • Develop robust automated test scripts based on input from, and in partnership with QA manual testers and developers
  • Resolve script failures during development and execution
  • Script SQL database queries to validate data & troubleshoot defects
  • Identify and raise risks as early as possible in the system development life cycle
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal (day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written forms (test artifacts).
  • Identify and log defects, work with development to resolve, and verify fixes when implemented
  • Maintenance of scripts to keep up with changing business needs


  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years in QA automation testing
  • Efficiency in Agile and/or Scrum, and knowledge of how automation is performed within such a project
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid, Maven & TestNG
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for test automation, like Java
  • Proficiency in using Maven as a building tool, including POM (Project Object Model) files
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Docker for creating, deploying, and managing application containers
  • Hands-on experience testing applications developed on multiple browsers (Firefox, Safari, Chrome)
  • Experience creating SQL queries to support automation scripts; experience with Oracle is preferred
  • Ability to perform to a reasonable standard of output as a member of a highly productive and collaborative team
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Agility to shift priorities and multi-task based on business needs
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of database concepts with the ability to create simple queries
  • Familiarity with Angular a plus
  • Experience working with XML schema validation and JSON schema validation a plus
  • Experience creating automated scripts for a React.js website a plus
  • Proven experience creating automation test scripts for RESTful APIs using Unirest a plus
  • Travel Industry experience a plus
