World Travel Holdings is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant for it's Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The Junior Staff Accountant will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations, franchise/contractor invoicing, and other general accounting functions as needed within the Finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Process deposits and reconcile bank accounts weekly
  • Process A/P invoices for submission to corporate
  • Provide Commission Reports, prepare Payroll reports and other reports as needed on a weekly basis.
  • Reconcile in-house credit cards revenues on a weekly basis
  • Administer the invoicing, collection and reconciliation of franchise and independent contract co-op, franchise fees, and other miscellaneous items on a bi-monthly and as needed basis
  • Contribute to the monthly financial close process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Other duties as needed within the Finance team

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Accounting plus 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Great Plains knowledge and experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage a high volume of transactions
