World Travel Holdings is seeking an SEO Manager for its Wilmington, MA office.  In this role, you will define the strategy for building organic traffic across multiple domains, and will work cross-functionally with developers, designers and editorial staff to execute the strategies. Finally, measure results and iterate on the strategy. With one of the largest databases of user generated content in the cruise industry, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Planning & Reporting: Develop and implement SEO roadmap that will continually increase rankings within search engines through on-page SEO and directing/monitoring quality back linking methods. Help set goals define metrics for SEO that clearly and simply communicate status.
  • Research: Conduct competitive/keyword research and analysis and exercise SEO best practices to find trends and opportunities and ensure high rankings for our clients. Perform periodic SEO audits including technical website analysis and link analysis.
  • Execution: Work with site engineers, designers, and editorial staff to optimize site content for maximum visibility and ranking potential. Recommend technical SEO best practices about website architecture, UI/ UX, content, navigation, and linking. Inform content strategy and help team create high-quality content around important, relevant terms.
  • Learning: Keep pace with industry trends and developments and see through implementation of new technologies that enhance SEO presence. An understanding of onsite, off-site, local, social, and content SEO to stay on top of industry changes and understanding potential impacts/opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in the fundamentals of SEO, including keyword research, page optimization, technical audits, competitive analysis, and reporting insight. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in a role primarily focused on SEO. Preference for experience with user generated content (UGC).
  • Working knowledge of common SEO tools (SEMRush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.) – and the ability to interpret the output of those tools.
  • Strong familiarity with Google Analytics or other web analytics platforms (Omniture, Coremetrics) – and going beyond mere KPI reporting to interpret trends and recommend courses of action.
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus: content strategy, site migrations, link building, organic social media strategy, SEM, large site (300K+ URLs) optimization.
  • Collaborative, team player who is able to sell their ideas to team members.
