World Travel Holdings Inc. is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our IT team in our Wilmington, MA office.  In this role, you will contribute to our current automation and functional testing team in creating, cohesive testing to improve efficiency and deliver high quality software for both our consumer facing ecommerce websites, as well as, our internal enterprise application.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze user stories
  • Provide work estimates for testing user stories
  • Develop robust automated test cases based on input from, and in partnership with the QA Functional testers
  • Resolve script failures during development and execution
  • Identify and raise risks as early as possible in the system development life cycle
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal (day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written forms (test artifacts).
  • Identify and log defects, work with development to resolve, and verify fixes when implemented
  • Provide coding support in the existing automation test suites against current demand, planned growth and capacity

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years in QA testing (both automated and manual)
  • Efficiency in Agile and/or Scrum, and knowledge of how automation is performed within such a project
  • Expertise in developing automated scripts with Selenium, TestNG, Grid & Web Driver, CSS locators, XPath, and RestAPIs (a plus)
  • Expertise in designing and implementing test automation frameworks with Data Driven, Keyword Driven (for both GUI and non-GUI interfaces) 
  • Expertise with testing web applications constructed using JavaScript, CSS, HTML and related technologies
  • Ability to perform to a reasonable standard of output as a member of a highly productive and collaborative team
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively “pitch” technical concepts to developers and non-technical business users alike
  • Agility to shift priorities and multi-task based on business needs
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of database concepts with the ability to create simple queries
  • Proactively lead the improvement and implementation of test automation
  • Work with team to setup the standards of test automation throughout the various scrum teams
  • Travel Industry experience a plus
