World Travel Holdings Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst for its Fort Lauderdale, FL office.  The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the testing of web applications including our robust booking system, integrated intranet and affiliate consumer websites, as well as signing off on new releases that will include new functionality, fixes and small enhancements. This role will interact with the development team, as well as with operational departments that service, sell and support our business models.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clean releases by regression testing existing functionality
  • Locate and identify issues, and analyze their relative significance
  • Coordinate with the QA Manager, Project Managers and Developers on application defects and enhancements to ensure proper escalation and follow up
  • Confirm new functionality meets requirements of functional specifications on a consistent basis
  • Use knowledge of systems and technologies, as well as troubleshooting skills to investigate defects in order to determine the potential cause for failed tests
  • Provide clear documentation and enforce the use of our internal Project Management and tracking system on all issues found
  • Enhance test scripts as needed
  • Provide back up assistance to support the Help Desk
  • Help direct other department representatives in User Acceptance Testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or industry experience equivalent to 3+ years in quality assurance testing
  • Proven experience testing applications developed on multiple browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome) and devices
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills to identify critical elements and alternatives, and solve complex problems while producing effective documentation
  • Experience in implementing information system solutions to address business needs
  • Resourceful and a flexible self-starter capable of producing quality work with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly, easily shift priorities and multi-task based upon changing company needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively “pitch” technical concepts to developers and non-technical business users alike, sometimes leading demos of new functionality
  • Ability to maintain focus while conducting repeated tests of all angles of issues
  • Computer proficient including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word) at an intermediate level
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when needed based on release schedule
  • Experience with Project Management systems such as Scrumwise
